Curriculum
Our Autism Resource Provision offers a carefully structured and nurturing environment where every child is supported to learn, communicate, and thrive. We provide three distinct curriculum pathways—Fox Class, Badger Class, and Bear Class—each designed to meet pupils at their individual stage of development.
Fox Class follows a pre-formal, exploratory curriculum for pupils who benefit from a highly practical, sensory-based approach. Learning focuses on early communication, engagement, and emotional regulation within a calm and supportive setting.
Badger Class offers a blended, hybrid curriculum, combining pre-formal and early formal learning. Pupils develop key skills through hands-on, sensory experiences, alongside structured opportunities to build attention, communication, and independence.
Bear Class provides a more formal learning pathway, supporting pupils to access the National Curriculum within the provision, while also enabling a carefully planned transition into mainstream classes when appropriate.
Across all classes, communication, emotional wellbeing, and positive relationships are at the heart of our approach. We celebrate each child’s unique strengths and work closely with families to ensure every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential.
