Welcome to Hetton Lyons Primary School
On behalf of the Staff,
At Hetton Lyons Primary School we aim to give each child the opportunity to develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively. Our dedicated and committed staff team work hard to provide a safe and secure environment where every child can thrive and flourish.
Our school forms an important part of the local community. We try to support the community of Hetton through the curriculum, taking part in events and offering services from our school. Our work is supported and monitored by an effective Governing Body. We have an enthusiastic Friends of the School group who organise events to raise money for the school.
We have high expectations of our children in terms of behaviour and concern for others. Our code of conduct is based on an agreed set of rights and responsibilities that cover the whole school community.
We work to develop strong links between home and school, recognising the important role parents play in the education of their child. The success of our school is dependent on the relationships we build with everyone. We aim to keep parents informed and involved through regular newsletters and within the events and information section on our website. Each term we offer opportunities to discuss your child’s progress and we are always pleased to meet with you at other times.
We look forward to working with you to ensure that, through our partnership, we give your child the first class education they deserve.
School closes for the holiday on Thursday 21st October 2017.
